eco
eco is a wireless speaker. It works either via Bluetooth, or by installing an application on our cell phone that allows us to control all the commands of this device. Also, although it can be turned on and off through this app, it also has a touch button to turn it on. The volume, however, can only be controlled from the cell phone.
After visiting La Ricarda and noticing that it is characterized by a simple architecture, I wanted to capture that same characteristic in the design of my product. So I decided that my loudspeaker should have a simple shape, as simple and basic as a cylinder.
This cylinder is made of wood, as this material provides greater acoustics to the device and more warmth in the sound. The wood chosen is cherry, as it is considered one of the noblest. At the top we find the sound outlet: a black fabric mesh stretched over a DM wood ring. Magnets are added to this structure, which allow the mesh to be put on or removed. In addition, an aluminum handle allows the device to be portable, as well as providing sustainability and support when placed horizontally. Finally, the on/off button is located on the front.
